The Duff Residence

Winner of the Twenty Five-Year Award from the Minnesota Society of the American Institute of Architects, the Duff House typifies the residential work of Close Associates’ founders, Win and Lisl Close. Built in a western suburb for a progressive couple, the house has a strongly geometric plan and striking triangulated eave/roof forms. The materials are vintage Close; clear, all heart, vertical grain redwood and stone. Helen Duff lived in the house until her death.
